I'm not really sure if anyone reads my journal posts haha but I just wanted to say thank you for the watches and the faves. It means a lot to me to finally see my art getting more notice and it inspires me to do better and to post more of my stuff that hopefully, in turn, inspire you guys to do the same.
In other news, recently I've been using Tumblr a lot more. Not to say it's better than dA but I have definitely found some great Tumblr-based artists that have really inspired. One, in particular, because she actually worked as a mangaka assistant (for the Prince of Tennis too! Not just some shabby manga) and now works in Japanese TV animation. Another one just submitted her one shot to Shounen Jump's Tezuka contest. It's really inspiring to see people similar to me (foreigners, basically) make it in Japan as artists. There are times (more often than not) that I lose the passion to want to go back to Japan and make a living with art because I'm scared that I won't be accepted. Seeing people break free from this fear inspires me to do the same.
